Speaking from my personal experience as a co-founder of the Google Books project and the lead engineer for digitization, I will present some technical aspects of mass digitization through the lens of exponentially growing power of computers and the networks interconnecting them. Surprisingly, perhaps the remaining sociopolitical challenges will be much greater and much harder to overcome than the technical implementation."

Currently I am pursuing a PhD in the field of Robotics and Machine Learning at KTH in Stockholm working as a researcher at the Center for Vision and Active Perception. From 2003 to 2007 I worked at Google as as Senior Software Engineer and one of Tehnical Leads on the Google Books Project."
