Trubač, kompozitor, aranžer i bendlider Duško Gojković – istinska legenda ne samo srpskog i jugoslovenskog džeza nego sigurno najuspešniji, najpoznatiji i najpriznatiji muzičar sa prostora Balkana, sa svojim bendom “Belgrade Summit Octet”, simbolično će otvoriti drugo izdanje Musicology festivala .

Duško Gojković, pionir fuzije džeza sa elementima balkanskog foklora, sa pune 84 godine, i dalje je u vrhunskoj formi i kao izvođač i kao autor. Tokom internacionalne karijere koja traje skoro šest decenija , nastupao je širom Evrope i SAD, a u Japanu ima status jednog od najomiljenijih džez muzičara.

Sarađivao je sa mnogim velikanima džeza: Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Gerry Mulligan, Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Sonny Rollins, Phil Woods, Duke Jordan, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis, Tete Montoliu, Philly Joe Jones, Nathan Davis, Sal Nistico, Stan Getz, Rolf Ericson, Palle Mikkelborg, Tommy Flanagan, Jimmy Heath, Eddie Gomez, Mickey Roker, Chet Baker, vodio big bendove i autor je velikog broja kompozicija koje su postale džez standardi.

Sedam najtraženijih muzičara na francuskoj muzičkoj sceni . Od 2001. godine, Electro Deluxe je evoluirao od elektro – jazz pionira do energetskog koktela prljavog ali stilizovanog soula i fanka. U srcu groove scene i sa sposobnošću da spajaju i kreiraju žanrove, oni su ostvarili veliki komercijalni uspeh u svojoj domovini, gde su im se poslednja dva albuma našla na vrhu Jazz top lista. Dodatni uspeh je što su se našli na vrhu top lista sa tekstovima na engleskom jeziku. Posle dvanaest godina turneja širom sveta (Kina, Indija , Kanada, Meksiko , Evropa, Severna Afrika) i nastupa na nekim od najprestižnijih festivala (Montreal Jazz Festival Jazz a Vienne , Cervantino , Solidais , Le Printemps de Bourges) , Electro Deluxe dolazi u Srbiju po prvi put.

Trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader, Duško Gojković – a true legend, not only of Serbian and Yugoslavian jazz, but certainly one the most successful, best known and most recognized musicians from the Balkans, with his band “Belgrade Summit Octet,” will open the second edition of the Musicology festival.
Dusko Gojkovic, a pioneer of the Balkan – jazz fusion, continues to be in top form as a performer as well as an author, even though having turned 84. His international career has continued for nearly six decades, during which he has performed throughout Europe and the US. In Japan, Duško has the status of one of the most popular jazz musicians.
He has collaborated with many jazz greats like Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Gerry Mulligan, Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Sonny Rollins, Phil Woods, Duke Jordan, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis, Tete Montoliu, Philly Joe Jones, Nathan Davis, Sal zero, Stan Getz, Rolf Ericson, Palle Mikkelborg, Tommy Flanagan, Jimmy Heath, Eddie Gomez, Mickey Roker, Chet Baker, led big bands and the author of numerous compositions have become jazz standards.

After twelve years of criss-crossing the globe (China, India, Canada, Mexico, Europe, North Africa) and performing at some of the most prestigious festivals (Montréal Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Cervantino, Solidays, Le Printemps de Bourges), ELECTRO DELUXE is coming to Serbia for the first time.
